There are many others between these two layers: a reinforcing band on the board’s sides, an airtight inner rail, a drop stitch base wall, and a final coating for a sharp-looking board.

Let’s put it like this; both sizes presented to us by the Swonder are excellent choices for all-around touring and any other water activity you might be considering, and this is why.

The Swonder is a highly stable board given its width, making it an outstanding choice for first-time paddlers who seek balance more than anything to start their experience with stand-up paddle boarding or for anyone who’s far more experienced and who’s up for some severe Yoga. However, the length difference here (10.6’/ 11.6′) is what changes the game.

Thus, if you’re a larger rider for extra fun and adventure, the larger version of the Swonder is your friend.

Besides that, regardless of size, the Swonder is an excellent board for long-distance touring, recreation, yoga, and river riding.

In cooperation with the navigation system and hull design, the tippy nose results in a board that’s easy to steer and control.

• Both boards have excellent EVA deck pads covering most of their backs. This pad is super tough, which significantly adds to the board’s stiffness and offers excellent traction for maximum control.
• The navigation system is excellent on this one, with three fins to ensure straight traction and boost stability. The central fin is detachable, like usual, to make packing the deflated board safer and more accessible.
