Who should buy Aqua Marina 11′ Inflatable SUP?

The Aqua Marine is perfect for almost any paddler. Honestly, new, heavy paddlers, yoga lovers, families, and intermediate riders will be okay with it.

It is simple to see why it makes an OK board for heavier paddlers. The 315lbs weight capacity is not something several paddlers can offer.

The Aqua Marine 11′ Inflatable SUP is made with double-layer PVC material. While this is the best board material, some brands only use one layer, barely enough. Those SUPs bend or flex when heavier riders try to ride. As you can imagine, this makes the paddleboard less stable.

The two layers of Atoll of the top quality material provide the board with excellent rigidity, making it as stiff as a solid board when inflated. Hence the high weight limits!

A wide SUP will always be more stable. Any board from 31″ wide is typically stable for any skill level. The Atoll is 32″. It’s not very wide for shorter paddlers or to the point of making it extremely slow. This 32″ width is just right.

A thicker paddleboard is more buoyant and tides finely above the water when it comes to thickness. That is why you find the most valuable brands make their boards with 6″ thickness.

Speed

If you are to participate in a rare where other opponents have actual racing SUPs, the Aqua Marine 11′ Inflatable SUP would be your best option. It would disappoint you when touring longer or shorter distances. But with regular boarding, it’s a reasonably fast SUP.

The board has managed to balance satisfactory stability and speed, which is lovely. It has a pointed nose, medium width, and narrow tail. To improve strength, most riders would go for 34″ width, a round nose with a wide bottom.

That’d make it super durable, but the speed would be disappointing.

By being moderate with these functions, the company made a fast board without sacrificing stability. I’d also mention that this paddleboard glides smoothly. It is something I noticed and appreciated.
