JNWEIYU Inflatable Standup Board Review

If you have been to the seaside or even a river or lake recently, you will have likely seen someone on a SUP. The water sport has exploded – big thanks to inflatable boards that pack into a rucksack and are simple to transport in your car than a surfboard or kayak.

Flexibility is the most remarkable thing about the water fun in general, but conversely, it is a very undesirable attribute in the SUP itself. Plus, unlike the late, you can enjoy paddling whether there’re waves or not, even if you live inland. Can this feature-rich and value-focused model stand up to the stiff competition?

Construction 

Size matters when it comes to water-based SUP sport – there is a season you learn to surf on a giant board with more float than the door at the end of Titanic – and the similar goes for SUPs. More buoyancy means more stability and more time on the paddleboard, having fun and less time in the water getting cold.

Though, in reality, getting the correct size is slightly less fiddly with an inflatable board because they are already pretty buoyant, and you are likely to paddle at a steady pace on flat and smooth water rather than carving down the face of the wave.

But, it’d still be a consideration, and the best new paddler SUP will favor stability over outright maneuverability and space. The thought has driven the tail’s formation because this all-around paddleboard’s measurement should suit as many riders as possible.

It measures 10′ in length, 33″ in width, and 6 inches in thick – meaning that while light or heavy users might find it cumbersome or shaky, the majority of the rider who fail into the mid will get on just time.

The neat rucksack contains an air pump with pressure gauge and hose, a telescopic oar, adjustable fin, repair kit, and coil leash. All you need bar a flotation device, essentially. It packs up ultra-small, too, taking up about a quarter of my XC40’s shoes.

The paddle uses a standard drop-stitch build and reinforced rails, making it solid and puncture resistant but light to carry.

Usability

Air volume makes the paddler and the SUP float, and this comes from the paddleboard’s overall length, depth, and width. Those measurements also affect the way it handles, though – too long and it would not turn quickly, also vast, and it will be hard to paddle rapidly, while excess depth makes the paddleboard wobbly and uncomfortably tall on the stand.

However, not incredibly long, the JNWEIYU Inflatable SUP is quite a wide board, so it is agile in the calm water, and its relatively thin, 6 inches depth keeps your center of gravity lower also, for superior stability.

The Grip tech material you stand on allows rock-solid foot placement even when wet, while the telescopic SUP paddle can be made short enough to kneel or long enough for this 6′ three tester to use comfortably while standing up.

To inflate the JNWEIYU Inflatable Stand-up Board, you twist one end of the plastic tube onto the valve and other screws into the pump – this is a one-layer cylinder, one action pump. So it takes about five to ten minutes to see the desired 15 PSI on the gauge.

You might want to upgrade this place if you find yourself paddling each weekend. The SUP itself is the other – in practice, it is excellent to use, with a SUP head that detaches from the telescopic section to pack away into the bag.

There is a bit of flex at this point, and the portion of the SUP paddle with the t-grip on the last can be easily pulled out of the significant shaft while lengthening it if you are not careful.

In reality, you are probably not going to do this often, and the paddle floats if you drop it anyway, but you might love to add a carbon fiber one to your birthday list if you plan or taking the JNWEIYU Inflatable Stand Up on longer trips.

Performance

I found the JNWEIYU Inflatable SUP to be solid as a rock. I also went for a paddle with my son on a paddleboard, and at this point, it was clear cut we were nearing the weight limit. I’d have done in the sea with slightly more stability but managed to catch some waves after a day’s practice.

If I were using the JNWEIYU Inflatable SUP board in the sea often, I would probably buy an additional corded leash, though.

The spiral version is fine for touring on rivers because it does not drag in the water and get snared on branches, but it makes the paddleboard pink back at me in the sea when I fell off, which occurred a lot.

On calm water, the JNWEIYU Inflatable SUP is a peaceful way to get about, with a confident stance in the water and a bungee cord section at the front for storing a small picnic or bag. It glides along without slapping against the surface like a few less rigid SUPs I have tried.

One of the most OK though-out bits of design is the bag it comes in. It has a zip along the front to get bits in and out and has a lot of other space, so you do not have to fully deflate the SUP and fold it rightly to get it in. It also seems excellent, and this should not matter, but it does.
